I’m excited to announce the release of the newest and most fundamental chapter of the Voidfinder lore: “The Structure of Reality“ (or, as it’s known in-universe, The Metacosm)!
This essential document provides the foundational metaphysical laws of the setting, detailing the layered cosmology and the nature of the cosmos. Understanding this structure is key to understanding everything that happens in the setting.
The Metacosm is defined by three major layers. At its foundation is the Cosmic Weave which provides the scaffolding for all creation. Layered upon this is the Manifest (commonly called Realspace), which is the tangible universe of stars and planets, formed by the conceptual Elemental Planes and fundamental Energy Planes. Finally, the Divine Cosmos serves as the home of the gods, the location of the afterlife realms and various planes that provide the celestial machinery that animates all of Reality.
The chapter also details the critical Anomalous Planes, including The Aurora and The Wild.
